About the role

Lead role for reliable infrastructure powering Google Search Ads Serving; focus on cross-team collaboration, performance optimization, and building automation at scale within Search Ads Serving infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in a reliable infrastructure that drives business growth.
  • Collaborate across Ads teams to understand client teams' needs, identify opportunities, and deliver impact.
  • Identify performance optimization opportunities and deliver latency/resource savings.
  • Build automation systems and related tools to operate this system at scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
