About the role

Customer Engineer in Google Public Sector partnering with technical Sales to differentiate Google Cloud for government and education customers, advising on cloud solutions, architectures, and AI/ML workloads across infrastructure modernization, data analytics, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve blockers.
  • Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support technical relationships with customers, including technology advocacy, bid responses, product/solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and collaboration with product management to prioritize solutions.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for complete Google Cloud solutions.
  • Lead prospecting and acquisition of net-new logos, build customer relationships from scratch, and establish as a trusted advisor on long-term technology and business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders
  • Experience with cloud engineering or containerization platforms
  • Experience with GenAI use cases, or deploying custom AI applications
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
