About the role

Product Engineer for Global Manufacturing Engineering at Google, focusing on designing, building, optimizing, and deploying manufacturing requirements for Google’s compute infrastructure at global partner sites; provides sustaining engineering support, drives test efficiency, and collaborates with NPI teams and partner engineers to ensure hardware quality and production efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with NPI teams to establish Design for Manufacturing (DFM) requirements and optimize test strategies for global compute infrastructure.
  • Provide end-to-end product engineering support to ensure operational stability across both new and legacy hardware platforms.
  • Drive initiatives to expand test coverage, streamline manufacturing throughput, and lower overall production costs at partner sites.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for manufacturing yield fallout and data center field escapes, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with internal and external partner engineering teams to continuously enhance hardware quality, system performance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent engineering experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
