About the role

Software Engineering Manager responsible for leading multiple teams focused on agentic capabilities, UI automation, and integration of LLM-based solutions to enhance Android as an AI-powered operating system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced ML modeling with large language models (LLMs).
  • Develop AI agents that effectively understands user behavior, screen content and use tools/APIs.
  • Optimize ML models for on-device performance.
  • Work closely with the GDM, Gemma Frontier, Gemini app, and Android framework teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience with machine learning, large language models, Python, and machine learning optimization.
