About the role

Data Center Operations Manager role within Google's Hardware Operations, overseeing a team of Data Center Technicians and the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware and associated components in Google’s global data center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a collaborative team environment and effectively communicate business priorities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations, identify and resolve problems, and create solutions for global computing and network architecture.
  • Demonstrate the ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site.
  • Manage the implementation of projects within the team and ensure data center-related priorities align with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
