About the role

Senior Vendor Manager responsibilities include managing subcategories, negotiating with key brands, driving growth, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience to achieve category leadership in the online market segment for Amazon Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L for multiple categories and vendors, hitting top and bottom line targets.
  • Develop strategic relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure early insight into new trends and products; early and exclusive access to new items; merchandising and promotions and competitive costs.
  • Drive winning negotiations and represent Amazon when meeting with vendor senior leadership
  • Lead a cross-functional team, including Marketing, In-Stock, and Amazon Advertising, to drive superior category & vendor results
  • Continuously audit to improve the customer experience and business performance
  • The Sr. VM owns P&L across multiple subcategories and drives strategic, top-and-bottom-line growth through high-stakes vendor negotiations
  • Develop long-term category strategies, partner cross-functionally on annual plans, and influence senior leadership with data-backed narratives
  • Operate with significant autonomy, coach junior VMs on negotiation preparation, and represent the category in Sr. Leadership business reviews.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
