About the role

Leading an engineering team in Hyderabad to build software that connects sales channels with Amazon’s fulfillment and supply chain services, delivering merchant-facing workflows and distributed systems with end-to-end accountability for architecture, delivery, and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction: Own your team’s architecture and engineering roadmap, making explicit tradeoffs across customer value, reliability, delivery timelines and operational cost.
  • Deliver customer outcomes: Partner with product and program leaders to turn merchant needs into well-scoped initiatives with measurable success criteria.
  • Build dependable systems: Lead the design and delivery of distributed services and customer experiences that integrate with Amazon’s fulfillment and supply chain platforms.
  • Develop the team: Hire and coach engineers, provide actionable feedback, and create opportunities for technical growth and increasing ownership.
  • Own operational performance: Establish metrics for service health and customer experience, strengthen testing and observability, and address recurring defects at their source.
  • Lead across team boundaries: Align partner teams on interfaces and dependencies, resolve technical disagreements, and communicate decisions and risks clearly to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
