About the role

Program Manager to own the first line of defense (1LoD) Buyer Compliance controls for the Amazon Business Gift Card cohort, providing regional support for SG/JP, MX, or Europe. Manages risk through KYC, SAM investigations, and enforcement actions, collaborating with 2LoD on regulatory filing and acting as the single-threaded owner for regional compliance outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the operating cadence, SLAs, and quality bar for KYC and SAM within the assigned region.
  • Establish and drive mechanisms to measure and improve control effectiveness, working across Compliance Officers, Machine Learning Scientists, and Engineering teams to refine and continuously improve evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Risk Specialist Operations teams to investigate alerts and escalations, document findings, and determine filing requirements in parallel with 2LoD.
  • Partner with 2LoD regional compliance, legal, product, operations, and compliance officers to represent regional compliance status in business and risk reviews.
  • Own regional compliance metrics and reporting, surfacing risk trends and gaps with recommended remediation actions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
