About the role

SDE II role in AWS TAIS - DMR within AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on building and operating a data-driven Mentat platform and related data services for network monitoring and analytics. Opportunity to own customer-facing features, design in complex spaces, mentor others, and operate large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • - Independently own and deliver customer-facing features and services on the Mentat platform and its surrounding data services.
  • - Design in complex, ambiguous spaces, drive alignment across partner teams, own operational health, and set technical direction.
  • - Hands-on senior IC: write and review production code, run large-scale distributed systems in production, and mentor others.

Qualifications

  • - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
