About the role

Applied Scientist with strong deep learning background to build GenAI technology with LLMs on the Foundation AI Assets (FAI) team; supports RL Gyms, frontier model advancement, and foundational model development in an applied research role to impact products and services using GenAI.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of RL Gyms, assess their usefulness for frontier model advancement and build techniques to advance the state of the art with LLMs.
  • Support the foundational model development in an applied research role.
  • Leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate advances in LLMs.

Qualifications

  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
  • 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
