About the role

SDEs on the Ordering team at Amazon work on large-scale distributed systems to enable the global retail ordering workflow, owning end-to-end systems and delivering scalable, high-quality software.

Responsibilities

  • - design flexible and scalable solutions for the ordering platform
  • - work on large-scale distributed systems
  • - own systems end to end and influence technology direction
  • - apply data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming to real-world problems at a global scale
  • - contribute to building and maintaining the ordering workflow for customers worldwide

Qualifications

  • - 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • - 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations)
  • - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
