About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates AWS global infrastructure. The Network Deployment Technician supports and scales next-generation networks, assists in automating and scaling network operations, and collaborates with customers and vendors to drive project execution in data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
  • Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of computer networking experience
  • 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
