About the role

Innovative engineer to design next-generation fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally, owning multiple projects from concept through design approval and supporting installation and commissioning with Ops Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously from concept realization through design approval.
  • Serve as supplier's primary technical contact for projects.
  • Hand off completed designs to Ops Engineering for installation and commissioning and support that team to ensure successful deployment.
  • Work on green-field, brown-field, and retrofit projects including automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, reverse logistics, transportation centers, and specialty buildings.
  • Develop template-based and custom-designed projects.
  • Work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a team of engineers on hundreds of projects per year.
  • On-site design work, stakeholder reviews, and deep dives into technology innovations.
  • Support on-site expansion projects for Sub Same Day Fulfillment Center design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Master's degree in Engineering (preferred)
