About the role

Internship to design, troubleshoot, and support AWS data centers, with potential pathway to full-time engineering roles. Full-time 40 hours/week for 12 weeks starting in 2027; on-site with remote location; collaboration across regional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for new data centers in your region
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site and equipment failures
  • Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews (including for critical equipment), and event support
  • Collaborate with the internal data center design engineering team, server hardware team, and environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered
  • Work on concurrent projects, sometimes across multiple geographical regions

Qualifications

  • In the last year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or another equivalent technical discipline, graduating in 2027/2028
  • Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, and/or Thermodynamics
  • Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, with strong time management skills
