About the role

Design and implement test infrastructure for mechanical systems in support of satellite hardware development for Amazon Leo. Focus on automated test equipment, validation and qualification of flight hardware, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to improve performance, quality, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, and implement test equipment and infrastructure used in satellite flight hardware development and qualification.
  • Author, refine and implement validation, verification, acceptance and qualification test procedures.
  • Develop test, data acquisition, and control automation.
  • Participate in design reviews, and risk assessments, to contribute to the continuous improvement of satellite hardware performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, systems, reliability, and quality engineers, to gather information, share findings, and develop solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
  • Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems
  • Experience with test plan development, building the necessary test bench infrastructure, developing tests and verifying the design
