About the role

On-prem deployment engineer role focused on end-to-end on-premise deployments for Qevlar AI's security platform, coordinating with customer security reviews, CABs, and PKI processes to deliver production-grade deployments in customers' data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Run our on-prem deployments end to end, several in parallel, each on its own customer timeline, from technical kickoff to production sign-off.
  • Own the pre-flight. Build and run the prerequisites assessment: Kubernetes distribution, GPU capacity, storage, identity provider, network egress, certificate authority.
  • Navigate the customer's organisation. Security reviews, firewall change requests, PKI, CAB cycles.
  • Treat documentation as the product. The install guide, the prerequisites matrix and the troubleshooting runbook are what users consume; acceptance test is a customer engineer completing an install without calling us.
  • Own the release train to customers. Version announcements, upgrade campaigns, migration planning across a fleet with different releases.
  • Run L3 triage. Qualify the issue, reproduce from a support bundle, and escalate with everything engineering needs.
  • Close the loop. Document friction points as requirements, product tickets, or bundle changes; shorten the playbook each quarter.
  • Cut the cycle time. Signature to production should shrink measurably across the first four deployments.

Qualifications

  • Deployed complex software into large enterprise datacentres as a deployment architect, delivery lead, professional services engineer or technical program manager.
  • A real technical floor: reads a values.yaml, debugs TLS handshakes, explains proxies with custom CA, understands OpenShift SCCs.
  • Runs several technical projects in parallel with stakeholders, timelines, and definitions of done.
  • Serious writing skills: documentation that a stranger can execute without calling you.
  • Composure in front of infrastructure architects, security officers and CISOs; technical and decisive conversations.
  • Fluent English and French.
