About the role
Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for processing and maintaining accurate, timely accounts payable transactions, invoice processing and reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and contributing to process improvements within the procure-to-pay cycle.
Responsibilities
- Process and record vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure proper expense classification and GL coding
- Review invoice documentation for completeness, compliance and business purpose
- Resolve vendor discrepancies and correspondence in a timely manner
- Coordinate with department heads and stakeholders to clarify invoice details and obtain necessary approvals
- Create and maintain vendor master data in accounting systems
- Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and employee reimbursement requests
- Process vendor payments through ACH and Wire transfers with proper authorization
- Support investigation and resolution of payment issues associated with multi-currency and cross-border transactions
- Assist with monthly reconciliation of creditor accounts and vendor accruals
- Maintain documentation of internal controls and audit trail for vendor transactions
- Support month-end financial statement preparation and reporting packages
- Assist with internal and external audit processes
- Create and post journal entries for expense reclassification and adjustments under supervision
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounts payable and accounting operations experience
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Skills
Required:Microsoft ExcelERP / Accounting SystemsMulti-GAAPEnglish proficiency
Nice to have:German language
