About the role

Freelance AI voice recording contributor role for Scots (Mid/Central Scots) language variant. Remote, temporary/contract; approximately 4–6 hours per day for ~1 month, immediate start. Read provided prompts aloud to create high-quality recordings for AI speech and language technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Read provided text cards aloud and record them exactly as written (approximately 640 cards per person).
  • Produce clear, natural, and high-quality speech recordings following guidelines.
  • Speak using your natural dialect and accent.
  • Ensure no words are added, omitted, or altered.
  • Re-record submissions if requested to meet quality standards.
  • Complete tasks using our internal recording platform.

Qualifications

  • Native-level fluency in Scots (Mid/Central Scots).
  • Authentic pronunciation and familiarity with the target dialect or accent through everyday use.
  • Advanced level of English to understand written instructions.
  • Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify language variant and accent.
  • Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own.
