About the role

Founding product role focused on owning the customer experience end-to-end and defining Ultra's software ecosystem roadmap. Works across hardware and software, on-site in NYC, with ambitious growth from tens to thousands of deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap: Decide what we build for customers and in what order, defended with evidence.
  • Be the voice of the customer: Embed on-site with associates, supervisors, and operators to inform product. Design and prototype: Create working interfaces and prototypes, iterate with customers.
  • Ship with engineering: Collaborate with software team to move from prototype to production.
  • Own the hardware/software seam: Address latency, faults, safety states, teleop handoffs, and related product issues.
  • Serve every user type: Build a platform usable by warehouse associates to executives.
  • Support GTM: Join customer calls, demos, pilots; help translate product to business value.
  • Communicate externally: Write and speak about what we’re building to customers, partners, and the market.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years shipping great software products.
  • Experience with hardware or hardware-adjacent products (robotics, devices, industrial, medical, automotive, or logistics).
  • Fluency with agile product development and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Comfort analyzing product and operational data to decide what to build next.
