About the role

Lead and manage footwear product testing in China, delivering feedback and insights across the footwear development lifecycle to ensure performance, fit, and durability standards for the Chinese market.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end testing process for assigned footwear styles, from brief through final prototype
  • Developing testing plans that align with footwear category needs, performance objectives, and calendar dates
  • Building out a diverse pool of testers
  • Managing testing calendars and timelines, ensuring alignment across testing process and overall Footwear milestone dates
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with athletes and core product testers
  • Capturing performance and fit feedback to impact product solutions and decisions
  • Compiling and delivering test results at key moments in the product creation process
  • Identifying risks, and opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative tester feedback
  • Communicating testing progress and outcomes regularly with the Testing Manager
  • Travelling to regions within China to meet testers and conduct field testing

Qualifications

  • You have eight years of experience coordinating product testing, research, or consumer insights (footwear or apparel preferred)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tests simultaneously
  • Extensive personal experience with trail running, hiking and/or climbing
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with databases, forms, and tracking systems
  • Strong time management skills, collaboration, a self-starter mindset, and extremely strong communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of feedback into clear, concise insights
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced product environment
  • Passion for footwear and product performance
  • Willingness and ability to travel within China up to 20% of time
