About the role

Seasoned Project Manager to oversee remodeling projects from signed design through final walkthrough, manage licensed GC partners and trades, serve as primary homeowner contact, and protect project margins.

Responsibilities

  • Design-to-Execution Handoff: Review customer proposals for scope and cost before signing; convert approved scope into clear work orders.
  • GC & Trade Management: Manage licensed general contractors and specialty trades across multiple active jobs; build schedules, coordinate suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and ensure permits.
  • Budget & Margin Control: Own budget on every job; track margin; approve invoices against work orders; manage change orders; close job with cost-vs-budget review with accounting.
  • Quality & Site Presence: Visit active job sites to check progress, quality, safety, and adherence to scope; drive punch lists to final walkthrough.
  • Client Communication: Primary contact for homeowners; provide proactive updates; resolve concerns; assist with collections when needed.

Qualifications

  • Active or expired CSLB Class B (General Building) license that can readily be reactivated
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential construction project management, including kitchen and bath remodeling
  • Hands-on experience in cabinetry, flooring, drywall, tile, plumbing, electrical; ability to direct contractors with confidence
  • Skilled in reading plans, construction drawings, cabinet layouts, estimating, job costing, BuilderTrend or similar software
  • Ability to manage multiple active jobs with close attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer management; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Growth mindset; willing to support design, sales, and showroom teams as needed
  • Valid driver’s license; preference for candidate with a truck for site visits
