About the role

Senior Business Analyst contractor role in London for Lab49, focused on a large institutional multi-year business transformation and integration project in cross-border payments within the financial services domain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business requirements and backlogs
  • Develop detailed business specifications, including worked numerical examples
  • Develop functional architectures and solutions designs
  • Develop delivery roadmaps, identify dependencies, risks and issues
  • Perform business process reengineering
  • Work as part of a team in hybrid manner
  • Engage with client stakeholders to ascertain requirements, and validate Lab49 output
  • Facilitate workshops between Lab and client to resolve issues, risks and discover requirements

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of financial markets, some experience of payments
  • Working knowledge of typical financial flows and architecture
  • Understanding of business process modelling
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements
  • Understanding of agile methodologies including epics / user stories and backlog management
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills; able to represent the team, project and firm in client situations
  • Willingness and ability to get hands-on with detailed specification and numerical examples
  • Experience with business analysis projects (individual and team)
  • Experience in the financial markets environment
  • Experience working with IT teams to deliver products/solutions
  • Experience with projects from inception through to delivery
  • Experience working in an agile environment
