About the role

Senior sales role focused on credit and capital products for high-growth mid-market brands, building and closing complex, credit-sound lending deals and expanding relationships across Mercury’s working capital offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from self-sourced pipeline to close, selling Mercury's working capital products (term loans and rolling lines) to high-growth brands generating $20M-$500M in annual revenue.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline through self-prospecting, outbound campaigns, and strategic networking.
  • Run deep discovery to understand growth trajectory, cash flow patterns, and capital needs, then structure compelling offers with underwriting.
  • Sell internally as well as externally: build consensus across underwriting and the executive team to move deals forward without compromising credit quality.
  • Manage long, multi-stakeholder deal cycles — often involving founders, CFOs, and existing lenders or banking relationships — while creating urgency and momentum.
  • Negotiate deal terms balancing growth with credit discipline.
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships into other Mercury products (banking, credit card, treasury) as accounts grow.
  • Share market and customer insights to shape underwriting and pricing of working capital over time.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying, closing experience selling credit, lending, or capital products — at a fintech lender, a bank's business/commercial lending group, or a similar working-capital provider.
  • Track record of closing deals with businesses doing $20M+ revenue (ideally into tens/hundreds of millions) in ecommerce or adjacent industries.
  • Comfort with credit fundamentals — cash flow, underwriting considerations, and deal structuring.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles requiring internal alignment (underwriting, credit committee, leadership) as well as external persuasion.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline via outbound, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar methodology (preferred).
