About the role

Software Engineer II role focused on building and shipping web and mobile experiences for card acquisition, collaborating across product, design, analytics, and engineering to optimize onboarding and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Break down larger projects into tasks, deliver in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with product management, design & analytics in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on risk-aware decisions
  • Create and monitor metrics, escalate when needed, and support on-call efforts to maintain operations
  • Engage in growth and development activities such as participating in the interview process and contributing to team community

Qualifications

  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
  • Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native
  • Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python
  • Ability to turn simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested, extensible code
  • Comfort navigating large code bases, debugging others' code, and providing code reviews
  • Demonstrated ownership of growth, seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team
  • Equivalent practical experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field
