About the role

Manager to lead a distributed Workplace team within the Places & Experiences group, focusing on delivering exceptional workplace experiences for a remote-first organization based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own the North America workplace strategy and operating model, aligning office experience with business priorities, headcount planning, and ways of working.
  • Translate company and team needs into workplace plans, including capacity, service levels, and programming across all locations.
  • Make and drive decisions on workplace standards, policies, and investments, balancing employee experience, cost, and scalability.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics (e.g., employee experience, utilization, vendor performance, budget adherence) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide functional leadership across locations, ensuring consistency while adapting to local needs.
  • Develop and implement workplace programs, standards, and initiatives that bring consistency, functionality, and delight to our spaces.
  • Ensure offices are operated to foster collaboration, connection, and productivity for a primarily remote workforce.
  • Oversee workplace policies, procedures, and service delivery to ensure operational excellence and scalability.
  • Manage vendor relationships across workplace services (facilities, hospitality, office services), ensuring strong performance and cost efficiency.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as People, IT, and Finance to deliver holistic workplace solutions.
  • Support office activations, events, and programming that strengthen culture and employee engagement.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Real Estate & Workplace on workplace and real estate projects, coordinating vendors and installations, scheduling construction, and supporting office refreshes.
  • Lead, coach, and empower a distributed Workplace team across North America with in-person and remote leadership, setting priorities, developing team members, and fostering ownership.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in workplace, facilities, hospitality, or office operations in dynamic, hybrid/remote-first environments.
  • Proven track record managing and developing distributed teams with strong remote and in-person leadership skills.
  • Experience owning multi-site or regional operations.
  • Hands-on, team-first approach; willing to support adjacent operational needs where Workplace and Real Estate intersect.
  • Strong expertise in workplace operations, employee experience, and service delivery.
  • Experience scaling operations or building programs from scratch.
  • Excellent operational and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing vendors and workplace budgets focused on quality and efficiency.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving workplace strategies in a hybrid environment.
