About the role

Full Stack Engineer at Sardine focusing on bridging backend systems and user interfaces to combat fraud, with emphasis on data-intensive applications and graph-based fraud analysis at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end: Drive the product lifecycle from problem space to UX and iterative improvements based on vague requirements.
  • Translate complexity to usability: Build complex technical systems into intuitive interfaces.
  • Build fraud-fighting tools: Develop and optimize advanced graph systems to visualize fraud rings, and build performant search tools for analysts to identify suspicious transactions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Design, Data, Product, and Account Management teams to align engineering output with business and user needs.
  • Ensure system health: Diagnose, triage, and resolve bugs while writing efficient, performant code.

Qualifications

  • Core technical stack: Extensive experience writing production-ready code in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Go and other server programming languages.
  • Scale and data expertise: Experience with data-intensive applications, complex workflows, and big data at scale.
  • Pipeline proficiency: Background in technical data modeling and building robust production data pipelines.
  • High-growth adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Independent execution: Proven track record of ownership of ambiguous problems and delivering polished, scalable features.
