About the role

Full Stack Engineer role at Sardine focused on building data-intensive applications and advanced graph systems to support fraud investigation and prevention at scale. 60% backend, 40% frontend, remote-first in the United Kingdom/Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end: drive the product lifecycle from problem space to UX and iterative improvements.
  • Translate complexity to usability: build complex technical systems into intuitive interfaces.
  • Build fraud-fighting tools: develop and optimize graph systems to visualize fraud rings and performant search tools for analysts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: work with Design, Data, Product, and Account Management to align engineering with business needs.
  • Ensure system health: diagnose, triage, and resolve bugs while writing efficient, performant code.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Go and other server programming languages.
  • Experience with data-intensive applications, complex workflows, and big data at scale.
  • Strong background in technical data modeling and building robust production data pipelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Proven track record of independent ownership of ambiguous problems and turning them into scalable features.
