About the role
Lead the Bot Production team on Mytra's Bot Production line, combining hands-on building with production leadership to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and smooth daily cadence on the floor.
Responsibilities
- Run the production line day to day, keeping builds on track to the approved plan, assigning and sequencing work across the team, and stepping in on the floor to keep momentum.
- Build alongside your technicians, setting the standard for quality and craftsmanship at every station.
- Hold the line to released specs and SOPs, ensuring builds meet current revisions so only good product moves forward.
- Own first-line quality on the floor, catching issues early and routing nonconforming units to the Bot Prototype team for rework.
- Be the first point of contact for your technicians, resolving everyday issues and knowing what to raise to the manager.
- Partner with the manager and NPI to turn the build plan into a smooth daily cadence, with potential growth into more planning responsibilities.
- Write and close tickets (Linear), document floor issues clearly, and collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Quality to protect quality, schedule, and design.
- Champion safety on the floor, leading by example on PPE, shop practices, and a clean, organized workspace.
- Help onboard and train Bot Production Technicians as the team grows and help build the team culture from day one.
Qualifications
- Hands-on production or manufacturing build experience, ideally with electro-mechanical hardware, robotics, or comparable technical assembly.
- Pride in repeatability and process discipline: building to SOPs, maintaining quality, and meeting delivery schedules.
- Ability to thrive in a new environment and establish a solid foundation for a newly formed team.
- Technical strength to triage build issues on the floor and know when to elevate.
- Ability to read and build to drawings, work instructions, and BOMs; reason about revision changes across builds.
- Solid assembly fundamentals: hand tools, fastening, cable and harness routing, and attention to build quality.
- Natural team leadership with clear communication and the ability to lift others.
- Comfortable in an industrial environment around heavy equipment and adhering to shop safety practices.
