About the role
Global Health & Safety Lead responsible for leading health and safety standards, processes, and systems across multiple markets, ensuring safe and legally compliant clinics from opening through day-to-day operations and scale.
Responsibilities
- Clinic Openings: Develop repeatable opening process with health and safety standards, checks, and sign-offs for new clinics across markets; Map health and safety legal requirements per market; Conduct due diligence for new sites and markets; Integrate safety into clinic design and construction; Coordinate with Global Security Lead on emergency and evacuation plans.
- Risk Management and Infrastructure: Create global H&S management system adaptable per market; Conduct risk assessments for clinics, offices, and build sites; Implement controls for clinic hazards and medical equipment use; Establish risk-based audit programme and report to COO.
- Day to Day Operations: Own day-to-day H&S management; Perform routine maintenance and compliance checks (fire, water hygiene, electrical, lifts) with Facilities; Maintain incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions; Deliver induction and ongoing training for clinic teams; Train fire wardens and first aiders.
- Tech Forward: Select and implement global health & safety management systems.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in health and safety, across more than one country
- A recognised professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH) or equivalent
- Experience building or running a health and safety management system, ideally ISO 45001
- Hands-on experience of construction or fit-out safety for new commercial sites
- Track record of leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions to completion
- Ability to influence operations, construction, and senior leadership without direct authority
- Ability to travel regularly between markets
