About the role

Software Tools Development Engineer for GPU SWQA, focusing on AI-driven automation of test cases, Linux OS understanding, and PC I/O architecture (PCI-E, USB, SATA) within NVIDIA's device driver software and SDKs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated tests incorporating AI technologies for NVIDIA's device driver software and SDKs on various Linux operating systems.
  • Build tools/utility/framework in Python or equivalent to automate and optimize testing workflows in GPU domain. Develop and implement automated and manual tests, analyze results, identify and report defects.
  • Rigorously drive test automation initiative. Build innovative ways to automate and expand software testing.
  • Expose defects and constraints; isolate and debug issues and drive to root cause; contribute to solutions and drive to closure. Measure code coverage and drive enhancements.
  • Develop applications and tools that accelerate development and test workflows; write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable, and well-documented code. Generate and test compatibility across products and interfaces; validate software across a test matrix.
  • Provide peer code reviews focusing on performance, scalability, and correctness.
  • Estimate and prioritize tasks to create realistic delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with leadership to report progress and generate actionable reports.
  • This is a fully onsite position.

Qualifications

  • B.S / B.Tech / M.S in Computer Science / Electronics & Telecommunication or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in Python or equivalent with OOP concepts.
  • Hands-on experience developing Python scripts with dictionaries, tuples, RegEx, PIP, etc.
  • Experience with databases and storage technologies like SQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
  • Strong understanding of OS fundamentals and PC hardware tuning in Linux, Unix, Windows.
  • Experience using AI tools to automate test cases and end-to-end QA workflows.
  • Good communication skills (interpersonal and cross-team).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and quick to learn.
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
