About the role

Software engineering leadership role focusing on data protection understanding and AI acceleration at Google. Leads technical direction, manages a small team, collaborates with global partner teams, and drives high-impact projects in a complex, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and manage a small team.
  • Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with partner teams in Bangalore (in other organizations), cross-functional leads and key stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 1 year of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience in Generative AI.
