About the role

Google is looking for a Manager to lead a metro within the Network Delivery Implementation organization as a Technical Lead, driving scalable deployment of large-scale networking solutions, continuous improvement, and a culture of operational safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your team in identifying and managing interdependencies across Drive projects.
  • Oversee and direct the handling of complex change request escalations.
  • Provide expert technical leadership and guidance, leveraging a deep understanding of network architecture.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and accountability, while supporting career growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within NDI processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction in network delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
  • 6 years of experience managing and building teams.
  • Experience in network operations, including network diagnostics and fiber optics infrastructure.

  • US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
