About the role

Stability and Release Manager for Google Beam responsible for maturation of software, overseeing releases across software stacks and form factors, ensuring high-quality validation and testing, and maintaining external partner relationships to enable seamless product development and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver software to customers and partners consistently and of high quality.
  • Maintain and cultivate external relationships with key partners, owning software delivery and quality (e.g., OEMs, co-development partners).
  • Enact a testing strategy across our software development process that maintains the highest quality bar while balancing resourcing costs.
  • Optimize on-the-ground efforts across Google and partner locations to unlock software development and delivery.
  • Manage a team of Technical Program Managers leading our release, testing, and fleet operations areas, cultivating this team to maximize their impact on the product.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Experience testing software on custom hardware.
  • Experience with OS and applications software release management.
