About the role

Google software engineer role located in São Paulo, Brazil. Focus on building next-generation data and semantic infrastructure, handling large-scale data processing, and enabling Agentic AI initiatives. Part of the Core team responsible for foundational design, developer platforms, components and infrastructure to support Google products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement horizontally scalable systems specifically optimized for the unique constraints of account and device data.
  • Architect and own the development of core components for signal ingestion and centralized repositories, ensuring data integrity and timeliness across the entire pipeline.
  • Architect end-to-end data lifecycles to convert raw information into insights, overseeing collection, processing, and visualization of high-fidelity signals.
  • Perform comprehensive performance analysis by executing advanced experiments to troubleshoot and enhance efficiency of both individual nodes and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Resolve system bottlenecks through optimization of storage and processing architectures, leveraging fleet metrics and custom tooling to monitor reliability and extract key performance data from operational workloads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience with SQL.
