About the role

Policy-focused role within Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team, managing Wiz’s federal policy program, engaging with policymakers, and shaping regulatory approaches to cloud and AI security.

Responsibilities

  • Support the continued growth and maturity of the Wiz government affairs program, with a focus on educating federal policymakers, crafting a favorable regulatory environment and providing support to public sector market development.
  • Identify the need for, and lead the development of, government affairs products for both internal and external consumption.
  • Assist and advise the Global Head of Government Affairs for Wiz on policy developments, challenges and opportunities, including both tactical and long-term strategic planning.
  • Manage engagement with third-party influencers in the policy environment, including think tanks, civil society groups, philanthropies and other bodies in support of Wiz priorities.
  • Publish, communicate publicly and on the record on behalf of Wiz.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working on technology policy issues within government, or relevant private sector or industry associations.
  • Experience with emerging technology public policy trends in cybersecurity, cloud, cross-border data flow and digital trade, competition, or artificial intelligence.
