About the role

Software engineer role focused on building a high performing, secure, and robust client foundation for Google Pay India, including end-to-end ownership of core architecture, release systems, and developer ecosystem for the Flutter application.

Responsibilities

  • Design core application architectures, optimize critical app health metrics (such as Application-Not-Responding, startup latency, app size, memory usage, and frame rates), and build secure platform integration layers.
  • Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging AI-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
  • Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, UX, and other teams (like Photos and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Work with technologies such as Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, and build/automation tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with mobile experience (e.g., Android, iOS or Flutter development).
