About the role

Lead Group Product Manager responsible for Cloud SQL Platform, driving outlook, strategy, roadmap and delivery across multiple areas, including performance, availability, security, and AI-enabled improvements. Leads a team of Product Managers and collaborates cross-functionally to drive growth and portfolio integration.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the roadmap and strategy for Cloud SQL platform across multiple product areas. Influence cross-product area strategy and define holistic and long-term strategy across all aspects of the product's success.
  • Lead and coach a team of Product Managers to define roadmaps for individual areas, foster collaboration and healthy team environment to deliver results.
  • Partner closely with adjacent product areas and identify opportunities for better portfolio level integrations and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with engine product management leads to drive growth of the business. Synthesize data and present at business reviews to executives. Deliver profound product/project impact through complex and large in scope strategic investments owned by their team.
  • Leverage Google's AI capabilities to improve product capabilities and organizational effectiveness by driving adoption of AI tools and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • 5 years of experience with SaaS products in the relational database space.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.
