About the role

Product Manager II role focused on guiding Google Maps navigation experiences, leading cross-functional initiatives from conception to launch, and evolving guidance for varying driving scenarios and autonomous/assisted driving platforms within the Geo team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop metrics and experiments to evaluate and improve guidance quality, helping drivers easily follow their routes.
  • Adapt the guidance experience for varying scenarios, such as familiar commutes versus unfamiliar destinations.
  • Scale the navigation guidance experience to additional languages and countries.
  • Evolve the guidance experience for autonomous and assisted driving platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional Engineering, User Experience, Data Science, and Program Management teams to drive the product lifecycle from design through launch and iteration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • Experience as a product manager focused on consumer products.
