About the role

Google software engineer role focused on long-term infrastructure optimization, graph modeling, and scalable full-stack development within the AI and Infrastructure team. Design, implement, and own software powering Google’s data center planning and related optimization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software systems to plan Google's long-term infrastructure network through graph modeling and optimization engines to solve complex combinatorial problems.
  • Translate complex mathematical formulations such as combinatorial optimization into production code.
  • Architect and develop scalable full stack applications. Design secure web applications using Angular and TypeScript. Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using C++, Go, Python.
  • Architect and manage data warehousing solutions to store datasets efficiently. Design and optimize database schemas. Build automated pipelines to ingest, transform and aggregate data.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of features, including system design, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Promote engineering best practices, including robust design, comprehensive test suite and structured code reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
