About the role

Staff Interaction Designer role focused on crafting scalable UX for non-deterministic AI behaviors, influencing product strategy, and leading end-to-end design execution within Google's Android Developer Experience context.

Responsibilities

  • Establish UX frameworks and bring system thinking to the problem space. Design scalable interaction patterns for non-deterministic AI behaviors.
  • Identify high-leverage opportunities for agentic solutions across the developer lifecycle and tech stack, transforming nascent AI capabilities into actionable, user-centered product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners across multiple product areas to align workstreams and establish cohesive developer experiences.
  • Serve as a trusted design strategist with Product Management and Engineering leads, balancing technical constraints with user value.
  • Drive end-to-end design execution and lead design quality, system thinking, and polish.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in interaction design, product design or UX design.
  • 3 years of experience leading design projects from conception to launch.
