About the role

Financial Analyst role focused on translating macroeconomic signals and competitive dynamics into actionable commercial intelligence to inform senior leadership decisions within Google’s Global Business Organization (GBO) for the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

  • Translate macroeconomic data, central bank notes, and broker forecasts into commercial insights for EMEA Large Customer Sales (LCS). Provide macro scenario analysis to evaluate advertiser demand shifts across core EMEA markets.
  • Evaluate quarterly competitive dynamics across digital ad formats and cross-border disruptors. Conduct Alphabet and competitor earnings readouts highlighting market share shifts and industry growth.
  • Maintain category mapping rules and dataset integrity in Connect Sales SoW repositories. Conduct macro horizon scanning and regulatory risk sizing with Legal, GTM and Government Affairs.
  • Quantify financial exposure bounds and scenario models for Leadership Reviews. Feed macroeconomic insights into central executive storytelling and strategic narratives.
  • Perform impact sizing and diagnostics for pilots and strategic workstreams. Deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents to automate ingestion and synthesis of market research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in research, commercial finance, management consulting, or economic analysis.
  • Experience in evaluating macroeconomic trends (e.g., GDP, interest rates, CPI, FX, advertising market forecasts) and translating them into business recommendations.
  • Experience with data extraction and processing using SQL.
