About the role

Data Engineer, Technical Solutions, Geo at Google. Responsible for the technical relationship with large advertising clients/product partners, designing data processing systems, building pipelines, and enabling data visualization and ML workflows within Google's Geo (Maps) products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data processing systems with a focus on security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, and portability.
  • Create or consult in creating data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., PLX, Data Studio, Tableau, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and exchange formats to support data visualization, analysis, and ML training/models.
  • Provide ongoing support for data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards, answering user questions, authoring documentation, and delivering training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience with data infrastructure and data models through exploratory queries and scripts.
  • Experience building ETL pipelines and working with data processing frameworks.
