About the role

Director-level leadership role overseeing APAC-based Platforms System Development across hardware, firmware, software and verification engineering for Google Cloud Platform data center infrastructure. Focus on building and guiding multiple engineering teams, defining architecture, and delivering large-scale hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build up Asia Pacific (APAC) engineering team that consists of hardware, firmware, software and verification engineering.
  • Lead a team of engineers on products from architecture through to support of systems in the field.
  • Understand technology roadmaps and ensure the team is well positioned to support future programs; drive priorities and assignments of the team members.
  • Gather requirements, with the larger team, to define high level architecture, collaborate with senior engineers across the team on design. Review and approve the detailed designs.
  • Work closely with the technical program management team to generate program plans and then drive execution of the team to those plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in technical leadership and people management.
  • 10 years of experience in system design leadership or system hardware and software team management.
