About the role

Google manufacturing test engineer role in Hanoi, Vietnam within Devices & Services. Focuses on automating tests for electronics products, developing test plans/scripts, and collaborating with design, firmware, and contract manufacturers to ensure test coverage, yield, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Create test plans and develop test scripts for testing new products; support and improve ongoing production test scripts for engineering deviations, yield improvement, and test time reduction.
  • Collaborate closely with product design and firmware engineering during new product bring-up to understand product performance and test metrics with the goal of transitioning to a factory environment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal design engineering and external test system integrators on production test fixture and system design and development to ensure good functional test coverage and reproducible results.
  • Provide DFX (Design for Manufacturability/Testability) feedback to development community.
  • Work closely with program managers and contract manufacturers to ensure adequate test capability and capacity for engineering and production builds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in developing automated tests for electronics products.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Testing and working with Contract Manufacturers.
  • Experience with LabVIEW Basics
