About the role

Google accountants handle core accounting responsibilities, advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, review and interpret financial and budgetary reports, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accuracy, timeliness, and compliance for core controllership processes, including month-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and balance sheet analytics.
  • Prepare and present clear financial insights to audiences, from internal business partners and finance leaders to external auditors.
  • Provide regional jurisdictional expertise and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support product launches and initiatives in APAC.
  • Identify opportunities to design, improve, and document financial workflows, maximizing efficiency and value for the team.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment to secure financial account accuracy, proactively mitigating and escalating risks to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 2 years of experience in a financial reporting or operational accounting role.
