About the role

Lead site operations for data center facilities in Belgium, owning budgets, deployment strategies, and compliance while driving cost efficiency and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own campus operational budgets, driving expense forecasting, cost-effective operations, and total cost of ownership minimization.
  • Set regional deployment strategies across multiple sites, seamlessly integrating Google-wide execution with internal and external partners.
  • Direct global data center compliance activities, ensuring regional teams strictly adhere to schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
  • Oversee systems monitoring, controls site activities to minimize risk, and ensures rapid, effective responses to any operational excursions.
  • Benchmark maintenance programs, drive environmental efficiency initiatives, and leverage domain expertise to optimize future data center designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components.
  • 5 years of experience in developing and managing managers.
  • Experience with people management and leading teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
