About the role

Nori Robotics is hiring a Design Engineer to own design and frontend development across consumer products and research experiences for a humanoid robot platform. Role involves designing consumer apps, collaborating with researchers, building robot expressions, and supporting launch materials.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build consumer apps across iOS, Android, desktop, and mobile web for hundreds of thousands of users.
  • Work with researchers to publish results and turn novel data into interactive experiences.
  • Build robot expressions and facial animations with the engineering team.
  • Support launch materials, presentations, and other day-to-day design needs.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio of shipped consumer products, with strong visual and interaction design and frontend implementation in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
  • Ability to work across mobile apps, responsive web, research visuals, and animation, with sound performance and accessibility judgment.
  • Nice to have: native mobile design, creative coding, or character animation.
