About the role

Developer Advocate in Tokyo to drive developer engagement in Japan, creating technical content, engaging with communities, and shaping the AWS developer ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging technical content (tutorials, blog posts, sample applications) to help developers succeed with our platform.
  • Represent AWS at conferences, meetups, and online events; deliver technical talks and workshops.
  • Gather developer feedback to influence product roadmap and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the platform meets developer needs.
  • Build and nurture relationships with developer communities, contribute to open-source projects, and establish a trusted voice in the technical community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of full stack development experience
  • Strong programming skills in one or more modern programming languages
  • Experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, hands-on workshops)
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills with experience delivering technical content to developers of varied backgrounds
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with developer communities (meetups, conferences, GitHub, Stack Overflow, or forums)
