About the role

Attorney to provide products counseling support within AWS, focusing on AI-assisted coding tools, data governance, IP/open-source strategy, and security-related product incidents for AWS developer tools and internal developer experience teams.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on the legal and compliance framework for AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Counsel teams on data governance, IP and open-source strategy.
  • Provide legal guidance on security-related product incidents.
  • Serve as an attorney supporting Amazon’s internal developer experience organization and the AWS developer tools organization.
  • Develop strategy documents for novel legal issues impacting AWS and discuss draft contracts with business leads.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • Experience in written and oral communication with technical, business, and executive levels
  • Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges with strong problem solving abilities
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

Benefits

  • Base salary range USA, VA, Arlington: 153,900.00 - 208,200.00 USD annually
