About the role

Senior Business Development Manager to build and lead strategic partnerships for Prime Video Sports, shaping strategy with Product and Tech and negotiating first-of-their-kind partnerships with leagues, rights holders, and technology vendors to create innovative live sports experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure and negotiate first-of-their-kind partnerships where no template, precedent or comparable agreement exists, and define the commercial model from scratch.
  • Lead complex multi-party negotiations across leagues and rights holders, commercial partners, data and technology vendors, and venue owners.
  • Own initiatives end to end, from strategy and partner selection through negotiation, launch and ongoing management, rather than handing off at signature.
  • Shape the opportunity set with Product and Tech, including emerging technology, and decide what to pursue, defer, or decline.
  • Quarterback across cross functional teams and organizations (Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Ads, Marketing, PR and Production) for launches across multiple Amazon businesses.
  • Represent Amazon as the senior commercial point of contact with external partners and build durable relationships.
  • Communicate to senior leadership with recurring written updates and inputs to annual and longer-range planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of professional or military experience
  • 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
